Paul Barrington

Having inherited his golf talent from his father who was once Captian of Clevedon golf club, Paul was already swinging the club as an 11-months-old. His skills improved quickly and he was asked to play for the county juniors at age 12, playing off a handicap of 12. By the age of 15 his handicap was down to 1 and he was invited to play for the full county side. Paul represented Avon Schools in the English School Finals and Somerset in the English County Finals. He turned Professional at the age of 17 and joined Weston-Super-Mare Golf Club as an Assistant Golf Professional where he concentrated on the teaching and retail side of the profession. In fact, throughout his career, Paul has dedicated his work to the golf industry. He ran a successful golf club repair service and served as head golf professional at multiple golf clubs. Until recently, he was managing the 'The Players Club,' Codrington, Bristol. Paul records one of the fastest swing speeds in the world at 230 km/h and has earned his name 'The Striker' by making even the longest tour player seem human. He travels around Europe leaving guests utterly amazed with his incredible striking power and accuracy. 'The All Time Golf Show' combines long driving with a variety of trick shots using hose pipe shafts, woods from 24" to 7ft long, balls driven through chipboard, shots hit from a kneeling position and the 'scissor shot'. You'd be forgiven for asking the question, why doesn't he play on the Tour? Quite simply, he has a severe problem with his putting; he always misses the 2ft putt and his long putts go on average 250 yards!
