Her first successful novel "Mal to byť pekný život" appeared on the bookshelves in 2009 and it was a bestseller in the brick-and-mortar as well as online bookstores for several months. Andrea's intimate confession about a life full of surprises, gifts, dark sides, love and happiness is a thrilling story covering the fate of one common person. Her own. She managed to shake off the shackles of convention and come out with her innermost thoughts and feelings. Not only in the book she has managed to remain positive despite the fate. Her writing style is fresh, dynamic, with no restraints. For her second book under the title "Židovka", she is to receive the platinum book award, which is given to books that sell more than 25.000 copies. Even a whole year after its publishing it is still one of the most in demand books. The critics claim Andrea has moved the Slovak literature for women to a whole new level. It is a thrilling story. Her third book "Cudzia krv" is expected to be published in November 2011 and, traditionally, Andrea was inspired by true stories. Andrea Coddington has a degree in journalism from Univerzita Komenskeho in Bratislava and was active as a journalist in a range Slovak media companies. The list of famous people she interviewed includes names such as Hillary Clinton, Kofi Annan, Shimon Peres, Cher or Vaclav Havel. In 2002 she left for New York as a foreign-affairs editor. She has worked as chief editor of the newspaper Slovakia Today for some time. She has remained loyal to New York, Slovakia and writing. Andrea comes from Slovak Town called Radosina and currently resides in New York.
