Mark Messier
Mark Messier is considered to be one of the best hockey players in history. He is a natural leader who can inspire people. It is proven not only by his successful carrier during which he as a captain was able to lead his hockey teams to the top of the North American Hockey League, but also his work as manager. Mark Messier began his carrier in 1979 when he was drafted into Edmonton Oilers and only four years later won his first Stanley Cup, the most valuable hockey trophy. Oilers subsequently won the trophy with Mark four times. Mark won the sixth Stanley Cup in season 1993 - 94 with New York Rangers and became the only overseas hockey competition player who made it as a captain in two different teams. To this day, Mark Messier holds a prominent place in NHL history tables. He played a whopping 25 seasons and 1,756 matches which racked up 1,887 points. Since 2007 he is deservedly placed in the Hockey Hall of Fame. This hockey leader is also owner of two Hard Trophies, which is given to most valuable player of the base of the Canadian-American league of the NHL. Mark Messier is currently a special advisor to president and general manager of the New York Rangers. After him is called the trophy awarded since 2006 given to the NHL player with exceptional leading skills. He is also involved in many philanthropic cases such as New York Police and Fire Windows as well as Children's Benefit Fund, where he operates on the board. Mark Messier is also a hotelier. He owns a very popular hotel Runway Hill Club on the famous Harbour Island beach in Bahamas.
